Pro-Patch with matching laminates provide a way for companies with digital printing capabilities to make custom graphics that are sealed and protected from the elements. Once printed, you can sew Pro-Patch into garments, bags or other textiles for advertising, sponsorship, or identification.

While developing this product, we took it to some local area vinyl seat/upholstery shops. They were wowed by the materials and custom graphic capabilities of thermal and solvent based digital printers. We suggest you do the same if you want to find out more about seat applications and possibly land some profitable accounts.

General Description of Clear Reverse Print Material: Flexible thick clear vinyl laminated to an 8 pt. liner for printing on the top surface.

Although this material can be printed on with some solvent based printers, the surface characteristics of the material can change from roll to roll, and failure of optimal printing results is not a basis for returning the product.

Wiping the surface clean with alcohol may improve printing. The film is intended to be laminated with either a Convex™ white vinyl for non-pressure sensitive patches, or pressure sensitive transfer adhesive for sub-surface printed decals. We have compatible transfer adhesives available. Compatibility is important to prevent shrinking or delaminating.

General Description of White Laminate: White, soft, flexible vinyl with a clear permanent acrylic adhesive. Used for over-laminating as an opaque flood white protective backing for sub-surface graphics printed on clear material such as Pro-Patch™. Take care not to stretch the vinyl when laminating.

Recommended Application Techniques:

Pro-Patch is printed on in reverse (wrong reading). Once it is printed on, it is laminated with compatible 8 mil white Convex Laminate. The white laminate saves you from having to flood coat white. And it seals your graphics from the elements and provides protection from abrasion.

After lamination, the graphics can be placed in a cutter for die cutting. Once your Pro-Patch is cut it is ready to be sewn. Just peel it off the liner for a flexible non-adhesive patch.

Laminate with a cold pressure sensitive laminator or by hand. If you are planning to use other brands of adhesive, please test for delamination over time as most adhesives are not compatible with this film. We have formulated pressure sensitive adhesives that are compatible.
