SpecificationsGeneral Description: Clear soft flexible vinyl with a clear permanent acrylic adhesive. Used for over-laminating when conformability to complex curves is necessary. Different combinations of Convex base materials and Convex laminates can be used to achieve a variety of decal thicknesses and selling prices.
RECOMMENDED APPLICATION: On curved surfaces such as helmets, apply by rubbing from the center out. While laminating using Convex as the laminate, when it is separated from the liner, if there is too much drag tension applied to the supply roll, it can stretch and curl up immediately after it is cut on a plotter. Laminate with a cold pressure sensitive laminator or by hand. MATTED SURFACE? Due to concerns about the face of the material “matting up” in the process of getting it to you, I have prepared this simple explanation and solution that requires little additional work on your part: Explanation: The enclosed material may have been stored in tightly wound rolls while in the process of being converted and stored in different locations, including a dealer’s location. The Solution: The Matte finish will go away when you expose it to heat. If you use a laminator with heated rollers, heat the top roller to 150F while laminating. Be careful not to stretch the laminate. Or, after applying the graphic, simply apply heat with a heat gun or hair dryer, and watch it gloss up right before your eyes. |
